Dr. Annie Wayne completed a dual degree program to earn her Masters in Public Health and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 from Cummings Veterinary School at Tufts. Dr. Wayne went on to complete a small animal rotating internship and residency in Emergency and Critical Care at Angell Animal Medical Center. Following training, Dr. Wayne joined the faculty at Cummings. In her five years on the faculty, she developed an expanded communications training curriculum for the pre-clinical veterinary students. She chaired the Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship Team (ICAST) and focused her research on One Health collaborations and antimicrobial stewardship. She serves on the Women’s Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative (WVLDI) board and is part of a research collaborative to examine parenting issues for veterinary trainees and veterinarians and to promote equity and inclusion in veterinary medicine. Dr. Wayne joined Ethos in June 2021 to implement the E-VET training program and is thrilled to bring her love and experience mentoring young veterinarians to the emergency and critical care department.
