American Veterinary Medical Foundation
The team at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital would like to share some good news with our devoted clients. We enrolled in the Veterinary Care Charitable Fund, a program of the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF). The program was created to support veterinarians who provide medical services to the lost, neglected and abused animals that find their way into our hospital. The program also allows us to care for animals in our community when their owners face extraordinary hardships.
We invite you to support us in this endeavor by making a donation to the AVMF for pets in need.
Somerville Dog Festival
The Annual Somerville Dog Festival is a community-wide event to celebrate dogs and the families who love them. The Somerville Foundation for Animals, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is partnering with Mass Vet Referral Hospital to proudly host the festival with 100% of the proceeds benefiting local animal-related charities.
The festival and its proceeds will help champion the combined mission of the Somerville Foundation for Animals and Mass Vet Referral Hospital to help pets in our community stay with the families who love them. The event incorporates lively entertainment and educational opportunities for dog owners. Planned activities include a wide variety of dog sports, working dog demonstrations including a police K-9 unit and the popular Doggie Fun Zone. There are always dog-themed contests, food trucks and a special performances.
The event takes place from 11am – 3pm at Trum Field in Somerville, Massachusetts. All well-mannered, leashed dogs and their human companions are welcome to join in on the fun for a great cause! Up to date information: somdogfest.org.
Donate to Ethos Discovery
Ethos Discovery is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization devoted to delivering innovations that will improve the outcome for pets and humans afflicted with complex medical problems. Patients of all Ethos hospitals may be eligible to participate in clinical studies if they are diagnosed with a condition we are currently studying. Donations in any amount are appreciated.
