Catherine Wadman

Dr. Catherine “Cate” Wadman’s path in veterinary medicine has taken her from Grenada to North Carolina and throughout New England, ultimately bringing her back to Mass Vet, where she previously completed her specialty internship in Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Dr. Wadman earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, completing her clinical year at North Carolina State University and graduating in 2021. She then completed a rotating internship at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, followed by a specialty internship in Neurology and Neurosurgery at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital. She went on to complete a three-year residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2026 and became board certified in Neurology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).

Dr. Wadman enjoys all aspects of veterinary neurology, with particular clinical interests in inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system, including meningoencephalitis of unknown etiology (MUE), epilepsy and seizure disorders, intervertebral disc disease, and neurosurgery. She especially enjoys developing long-term relationships with her patients and their families and believes that helping pet owners understand their pet’s neurologic condition is an important part of providing compassionate and individualized care.

Having previously trained at Mass Vet during her specialty internship, Dr. Wadman is excited to return to the hospital as a neurologist. She values the collaborative environment at Mass Vet and enjoys working alongside specialists across multiple disciplines to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex neurologic conditions.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Wadman enjoys playing pickleball, skiing, trying new restaurants, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with friends and family. At home, she shares her life with Mia, her Grenadian pothound, and Stanley, her Siamese cat.
