Diane Hwangpo

Dr. Hwangpo is a 2026 graduate of Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine with a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Before veterinary school, she gained valuable experience in animal shelters and worked as a veterinary technician in both general practice and emergency medicine.

Her professional interests include emergency medicine, anesthesia, and pain management, with a particular focus on minimizing pain, fear, and stress for hospitalized patients. She is passionate about building trusting relationships with pets and their families and providing compassionate, individualized care—especially during stressful emergency visits.

Outside of work, Dr. Hwangpo enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors with her two dogs, Bentley and Murphy. She and her partner also share their home with three cats, Kiwi, Ollie, and Sesame. She is a longtime horseback rider and enjoys reading, baking, and trying new recipes.

Dr. Hwangpo is excited to begin her veterinary career at MVRH and looks forward to caring for pets and supporting the families who love them.
