Elizabeth Parsley

From a young age, Dr. Elizabeth Parsley knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, those early visits to the vet with her family dog left a lasting impression. That childhood passion quickly turned into a career path, and with every step in her training, she became more certain that veterinary medicine was exactly where she belonged.

Dr. Parsley earned her veterinary degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She went on to complete a rotating internship and a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. She achieved board certification in Neurology through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in 2019, and in 2022, she earned her ACVIM Neurosurgical Certificate of Training.

Her clinical interests include pain management, canine cognitive dysfunction, and tethered cord syndrome. She’s passionate about client education and takes pride in building strong relationships with pet families, ensuring that they are fully informed and involved in their pet’s care every step of the way.

Dr. Parsley is thrilled to be part of the Mass Vet team, a hospital known for its excellence in veterinary neurology and collaborative environment. At home, she shares her life with four beloved beagles, Abbey, Penny, Ellie, and Thelma, and four cats, Cosmo, Leo, Jammie, and Bee. Many of her pets have neurologic conditions, including intervertebral disc disease and seizures, which gives her a deeply personal connection to the patients she treats.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Parsley enjoys playing tennis, learning to play golf with her husband, cooking, and trying new restaurants in the Boston area. She’s excited to bring her expertise to the pets and pet parents of the greater Boston metropolitan region.
