Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Katelynn Ondek moved to California to pursue her dual passions in veterinary medicine and neurology research through UC Davis’ DVM-PhD program. Her dissertation research focused on electrical biomarkers of hippocampal injury and therapeutic applications of deep brain stimulation in traumatic brain injury and refractory epilepsy. She is now slowly re-learning what “winter” is with a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ and now a neurology specialty internship at Mass Vet.
