Dr. Marit Wettstein is originally from Minnesota but has been on the east coast since undergrad in Maine where she majored in biological chemistry at Bates College. After graduating, she lived in Cambridge for a few years before vet school while working in a neurobiology lab at Harvard. She then moved to Ithaca for vet school at Cornell where she was dairy and production medicine focused before committing to small animals. She is extremely passionate about small animal emergency medicine as well as animal behavior and shelter medicine.

Marit has a seven year old rescue Boxer-Pittie mix who is basically a toddler in dog disguise and loves everyone he meets. She is vegetarian and loves to hike, especially where her dog can tag-along. She is thrilled to be back in proximity to the White Mountains. We are excited to welcome Marit back to the Boston area and to the E-VET team!
