Dr. Patricio Peirano was born and raised in Iquique, a city in Northern Chile. He attended the Universidad de Chile Veterinary College after which he came to North America, where he completed equine and large animal internships in Steinbeck County Equien Clinic in Oregon, and the Ontario Veterinary College in Ontario. He then completed a Sports Medicine and Imaging Fellowship at Northwest Equine Performance and developed a strong interest in diagnostic imaging. Dr. Peirano then decided to complete a small animal internship at Pieper Veterinary Emergency Center in Connecticut. A fun fact, Dr. Peirano completed the ECFVG program for foreign graduates which allowed him to develop a strong interest in emergency and diagnostic imaging. Dr. Peirano joined the emergency team at Mass Vet in August of 2023.

Dr. Peirano resides in Massachusetts with his wife and their three cats. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys playing basketball, playing music, and riding his bike!
