Dr. Masciarelli grew up in southern Maine. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Animal Science – Pre Veterinary Medicine, and proceeded to veterinary school at the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island, Canada, where she graduated in 2010. Because of her passion for horses and imaging Dr. Masciarelli then completed a one year equine surgical internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, KY, and a one year diagnostic imaging internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, TX. Following this she began a three-year diagnostic imaging residency at Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in College Station, TX. She completed her residency in July 2016.
