Dr. Ulmer was born and raised in South Carolina. She attended Clemson University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. She received her veterinary degree from Tuskegee University. Dr. Ulmer went on to complete a rotating small animal internship at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth, Masachussetts. After her internship, she decided to stay in Massachusetts and joined the Emergency team at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital.

Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her Clemson Tigers and relaxing by the beach.
